Greening Galleywood ~ placing wildlife in the heart of a parish~

The final report on the £25,000 lottery funded project launched in July 2006, which received wide support from Galleywood Parishioners, Galleywood Parish Council, Essex Wildlife Trust and the Essex Biodiversity Project, will be published  very shortly. A compressed PDF version of the printer's final proof is now available on-line, so no need to wait to find out what we planned to do and what we have achieved in the last four and a half years.
The archive files, PowerPoint presentations and images will be made available to view by prior arrangement at the Galleywood Heritage Centre, one of the major Key Sites chosen for this innovative community project to enhance wildlife habitats and provide 'green corridors' for populations of vertebrates, invertebrates, flora and fauna to migrate throughout the parish, despite the urban sprawl and steadily increasing density of the built environment.
